A simple, no-stress guide for getting your nemo agent talking to people

You’ve done the heavy lifting, like:

Now comes the part that can feel intimidating—but really isn’t: putting your nemo agent live on your website.

Good news: launching a nemo agent doesn’t require coding expertise, technical gymnastics, or a website overhaul. In most cases, it takes just a few minutes.

Here's how it's done.

(First Things First: You Don’t Need to Be Technical)

Before we get into steps, let’s clarify something.

  • Creating and training a nemo agent requires no code

  • Publishing it on your website uses a shortcode

A shortcode is simply a small chunk of text

that tells your website where to display the chat

you don't need coding skills for that, either. :D

If you can copy and paste, you can publish a nemo agent.

If you prefer help at any point, a developer, marketer, or the nemo team can step in.

OK, ready? Here's your process.

Step 1: Prepare Your Agent Inside nemo

Once your agent is ready, head to the Launch tab inside the nemo app. This is where you prepare it for the real world.

Here, you’ll:

  1. Choose how the chat widget looks (this is where the users interact with your agent)

  2. Match it to your brand (fonts, colors, name)

  3. Decide where/how the widget is displayed on your site

You’ll also add the URL for for the page (or entire website) where your agent is allowed to appear. This keeps things secure and ensures your agent only shows up where you want it to.

Step 2: Decide How the Chat Appears on Your Website

You have two simple display options:

Floating chat

A small chat icon appears in the corner of your site and opens when clicked. This is the most common choice and works well for most businesses.

Inline chat

The chat is embedded directly into a page and visible immediately—useful for landing pages or support areas.

Once you choose, nemo generates a small piece of code for you to copy.

That’s it. You’re done inside nemo.

Step 3: Add the Agent to Your Website (In Plain English)

Your website likely runs on a content management system (CMS) like Wix or WordPress. Publishing your nemo agent usually means pasting the shortcode into the right place.

Here’s the reassuring part:

  1. No matter which CMS you use, the process is always the same:

  2. Open the page where you want the chat to appear

  3. Add a block, module, or embed area

  4. Paste the shortcode

  5. Publish the page

That’s all.

nemo works smoothly with popular platforms like:

  • Wix

  • WordPress

  • Elementor

  • Divi

If your site uses one of these, you’re covered. And if it doesn’t, it’s probably very similar. Get in touch for help.

“What If I’m Not Ready to Go Live?”

Totally fine.

You can keep testing and refining your agent inside nemo for as long as you want. Many teams spend time reviewing conversations, tightening responses, and adjusting tone before going live.

You may also want to know...

“Is it Easy to Make Changes to a Live Agent?”

Yes! After going live, you will certainly learn from nemo's conversations with its public. Making changes to your agent based on real-world experience isn't just a nice touch, it's highly recommended!

To do this, simply return to the nemo app, update instructions or training documents, then republish your agent in minutes.

With nemo, there is no “final” button you can’t undo. Just a constantly evolving agent that grows with your business.

Easy Does it With nemo

For many businesses, the idea of launching AI on a website feels like a big leap.

nemo was built to make that leap small.

You don’t need:

  1. Technical knowledge

  2. Custom development

  3. A massive AI strategy

You just need:

  1. A clear use case

  2. A trained agent

  3. A few minutes to publish

Your nemo conversational agent can start answering questions, supporting visitors, or qualifying leads right away, while still sounding like your brand.

Ready When You Are!

Publishing your nemo agent isn’t a technical milestone.

It’s a communication one.

And if you ever get stuck, the nemo team is there to help you through it.

When you’re ready, let the conversations begin.
